Seasonal shifts don’t have to mean trouble. At PM Pools & Spas, we manage your pool’s opening and closing from start to finish with precision and care. Whether you’re getting ready for summer or putting things to bed before winter, our process protects your equipment, your plumbing, and your schedule.
Opening your pool takes more than pulling off the cover and adding shock. We follow a systematic checklist to bring every component back online and running properly. From water flow to chemical levels, nothing gets overlooked.
What’s included:
- Take off, clean, and store the winter cover
- Reinstall cleaner heads and zone valves (where applicable)
- Remove winterizing plugs and install return jets
- Check pump, filter, heater, and all valves
- Start up the system and verify operation
- Treatment with chlorine and algaecide to prepare the pool for the homeowner to take over regular maintenance.
- Brushing walls, floors, steps, and benches.
Skipping a thorough closing isn’t a risk worth taking. It’s how pipes crack, equipment fails, and spring repairs get expensive. At PM Pools & Spas, we close your pool the right way so it stays protected through freezing temps, heavy snow, and whatever else winter throws at it.
What’s included:
- Clear out leaves and surface debris
- Lower water level when needed
- Drain and blow out all plumbing lines
- Winterize the pump, filter, and heater
- Clean filter cartridges for off-season storage
- Put on and tighten the winter cover
- Remove ladders, handrails, and lights as needed
